techniques such as art and craft, sand play, symbols, music, puppetry, messy play, and guided
creative visualization. She believes that play is a child’s natural language of expression,
offering a safe, non-verbal way for children to process emotions, build resilience, and
develop essential coping strategies.
Oksana has extensive experience working in Irish primary school settings supporting children
facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, communication and behavioural
difficulties, low-self-esteem and emotional regulation, bereavement and loss, attachment
issues and learning differences, trauma and dealing with parental separation. Her approach is
child-centred, empathetic, and tailored to each individual's unique needs. She creates a safe
and nurturing environment where children feel empowered to explore and express their
emotions freely.
Through Play therapy, she helps children navigate emotional challenges and thrive both
socially and emotionally.
Oksana is multilingual and can offer Play therapy sessions in English, Latvian and Russian.
